Lifestyle POPSUGAR CABANA CLUB + DIY CALLIGRAPHY PHOTOS
May 2, 2016
Palm Springs is one of my favorite cities in California. I love that it is a short drive away from home in LA, yet I feel like I am transported to another world. It’s a little desert oasis. As the name suggests, there are palm trees in every direction and I am always left inspired by the modern architecture and epic colorful sunsets. This season I decided to skip the Coachella. Instead, I attended the POPSUGAR Cabana Club event and pool party and was not disappointed. It was such a treat! It took place at the Avalon Hotel and was decorated so beautifully! There were guesthouses surrounding the pool that each featured a different activity from hair braiding to shoe DIY’ing to photo backdrops. I was beyond obsessed with the backdrop with the tri-colored shadow. One of my favorites at the event was the Walgreens Photo Airstream. It was designed so adorably and I loved that you could take home a photo for a little memento! The icing on the cake was when Jhené Aiko serenaded the crowd at the cabana. I was able to sit right in front and I was completely mesmerized by her stunning and angelic voice. I had the best time! While there I took so many photos to document the fun to #sharelifeshappy with everyone. Below I teach you how to take vacation photos and add calligraphy to create photo memories to frame or add to your mood board.
To create a calligraphy photo, take a few photos that are colorful and bright, but have blank areas in the photo to write. A good example of this are photos where they feature the sky with little bits of trees in the corner or the water in the pool. I printed my photos from a local Walgreens. I submitted my order online, then picked it up about an hour later. The process was so quick and easy. Also, they have a great 40% off printing promotion until May 31st.
