MY STYLE | 1 ITEM 2 LOOKS VIDEO

4.10.2013

I am so excited to finally share a video, shot in collaboration with the amazing team at G by GUESS. Because of my busy day job as a fashion designer, I am rarely able to take on extra projects, so I was ecstatic when this shoot worked out with G by GUESS. Can you sense my excitement?! In the shoot, I styled two looks centered around my favorite piece of the Summer '13 collection, the 'Carlen Mesh Top' to show how versatile it is. I am a true tomboy at heart, so the sport chic aspect of it is right up my alley, but am really able to work it into a range of looks for my daily life. For my first look, I was prepping to go to an art gallery, where I paired the mesh top with their White 'Pin-Up Pencil Skinny Jeans' and Light Brown 'Patience City Sandal'. I always love an all-white look for summer. It feels fresh and chic, and the brown sandals give it a casual vibe. To bring the look together, I painted my nails inspired by the 'Carlen Mesh Top'. It really makes a fun statement, and it’s so easy to do! Find my nail art tutorial (here).

For my second look, I was attending a nighttime concert in the city, and easily brought the mesh top from day to night with the addition of a few pieces. This time, I paired it with the 'Trespasser Denim Jacket', black 'Alexandra Knit Peplum Skirt', 'Gambol Ankle Bootie' and faux snakeskin 'Lulu Clutch'. The denim jacket is so comfortable and season-less, yet pulls the whole look together. The peplum skirt is knit, so again it is easy to dance in, but looks so incredibly chic. The booties add a touch of sexiness and slight texture, and the oversized clutch perfectly fits all my going out essentials and the fold-over detail is right on trend. Hope you like the looks and please check out the rest of the G by GUESS Summer '13 Collection and my 'Carlen Mesh Top' inspired nail art tutorial (here).
