Last week I was in New York shooting a really fun video (sneak peeks on my Instagram: @swellmayde). While there, I found a little time to shop. Roaming the streets, I passed the Juicy Couture store and did a double take when I saw this amazing sweater on their mannequin. It is such a great statement piece! I also found the lovely, Aimee Song of Song of Style rocking it in a cool way  (here). Full tutorial after the break...
- anchor graphic sweater
- e6000 adhesive
- flat back rhinestones (here and here)
- plastic bag
- paper plate
- bbq stick or toothpick

1. Place the plastic bag inside the sweater, behind the anchor graphic.
2. Arrange the rhinestones onto the anchor to your liking. Mix sizes and shapes of rhinestones for a fun, eclectic look.
3. Squeeze a small amount of e6000 adhesive onto the paper plate. Pick up one placed rhinestone, and add glue to backside using a toothpick. Glue onto the sweater. Repeat for all rhinestones.
4. Let fully dry.

I have to say that I love the anchor but not so sure about the rhinestones...I kinda like the Forever21 one sweater as is. I'm just not sure if Juicy Couture did well with the nautical theme with rhinestones but i love the DIY idea of adding rhinestones to other things. You could have so much fun with that :)

Thank you for your comment! It's so great to create discussion about style and fashion.  The F21 sweater is still great as it, I totally agree with that!  But I also love the idea of DIY'ing that one statement piece in your wardrobe.  What would you add the rhinestones to in your closet?

Interesting question. Maybe a dark sweater with light polka dots on it. The polka dots could glitter with rhinestones. Or stars?! I think a lot of things would look good with rhinestones. I just feel like the sea is so rough and real. It feels odd to glamorize it. But maybe that's the beauty of it :)

Love this so much! Designer sweaters like that can be so pricey! Can't wait to do this with any print sweater : )
