Polka dots!!! To me it’s a pattern that reads both quirky and classic. They’re fun and youthful, and I can’t help but add it to my wardrobe every now and then… I also love when designers use it in their collections in unexpected ways. I recently saw the Marc Jacobs Fall ’11 Collection and polka dots were everywhere!!! From layered leather cutouts to sheer tights… quite lovely!! And Comme des Garcons always seems to reinvent them in innovative ways...
This project was actually inspired by my H&M polka dot sweater that was on heavy rotation last fall… and I still adore it!!! I used a pretty simple felting technique that can be used for future DIY’s…
Just as a heads up… below are links to find some of the materials:
1) felting needle tool (here

2) wool roving (here

hi aimee!
yes, artbag is a hidden treasure! thanks for the info, btw. i went to f21 today and bought a pair of cotton stretch pants (leggings, basically.) instead of buying a size xs/p, i went for a medium so that it won't stretch much when i slip em on. my plan is to cut them to the length i want and actually HAND SEW the trim. i'm gona do fringe instead of lace. i'll send ya a link to my blog post when it's done!
thanks again! will be watching your blog :)
